In 2016, Nadja collaborated with Sergio García Sánchez, one of the most celebrated Spanish experimental cartoonists. He has published more than 45 books and his work has been translated into nine languages. Lost in NYC earned SIX starred reviews and is available in both English and Spanish.

Frank Cammuso, who drew the Otto adventures, lives in Syracuse, New York, where he is the award-winning political cartoonist for the Syracuse Post-Standard. He is the Eisner-nominated creator of Max Hamm Fairy Tale Detective, selected as one of the Top Ten Graphic Novels of 2006 by Booklist, and is at work on Knights of the Lunch Table, a middle school version of King Arthur and his Knights.
Jay Lynch, who wrote Otto’s stories, was born in Orange, NJ (honest, ORANGE, NJ!). He is the founder of Bijou Funnies, one of the first and most important underground comics of the Sixties, and for many years wrote the weekly syndicated comic strip, Phoebe and the Pigeon People. He has helped create some of Topps Chewing Gum’s most popular humor products, such as Wacky Packages and Garbage Pail Kids. |

With the help of educators, we design our Level 3 books for emerging readers ready to tackle longer books--but they're also perfect to be read aloud to any child. Level 3 TOON books feature a range of settings in terms of time and place, sustained storylines divided into chapters, and long sentences, with upwards of 800 words. The facial expressions and body gestures that are at the core of our comics encourage social and emotional learning.

Read and re-reread these books with young children or let them read on their own and discuss the characters and stories with you.
