Featured Author: Eleanor Davis
Eleanor Davis grew up in Tucson, Arizona. Instead of going out in the hot sun to play and make friends, she stayed alone in her room, drawing. She started working on Stinky, her first published children’s book, while still a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The book went on to win numerous accolades, including the Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Award and a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year award. For Flop to the Top, she collaborated with Drew Weing, the author of Set to Sea, one of Booklist's Top 10 Graphic Novels for 2010. Eleanor and Drew live in Athens, Georgia, with three floppy animals…three floppy cats who take turns napping on their drawing tables.

Featured Series:
Benjamin Bear by Philippe Coudray
Philippe Coudray loves drawing comics, and his many children's books are often used in the schools of France, his home country. In fact, his work was chosen by elementary school students for the prestigious Angoulême 'Prix des Ecoles'.
Although he lives in Bordeaux, Philippe does not especially like wine. He does enjoy painting, creating stereo images, and traveling each year to Canada where he searches for Bigfoot. Though he continues to search each year, Benjamin Bear will always be his favorite wild animal. |
Philippe Coudray and his twin brother Jean-Luc, who is also a humorist, relish any opportunity to collaborate on children's books and comics. Thus we have this goofy guide! Full of elegant visual gags just like the Benjamin Bear books, A Goofy Guide to Penguins shares fake but funny "facts" about these quirky birds.
